Our Mission

Here at the Walled Lake Museum, we intend to identify and preserve the rich history of this city. We aim to achieve this goal by conducting thorough research and locating artifacts found in and around the lake. Our long-term vision is to display these artifacts, along with historical information and photographs, in a public storefront. In the meantime, we will use this website to share pictures and free-to-read content with the public.

Future

To preserve the history to its fullest extent, we need your support! We are reaching out to the community for any information, photographs, or interesting artifacts discovered in or around the lake. We would love to make copies of photographs or documents and take pictures of any items you may have, no matter how insignificant! If necessary, we can also refurbish artifacts at no cost to you. Please note, if you choose to donate any items, you will retain full ownership.

Donations

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which means all donations are tax-deductible. Every contribution will go directly toward the development of the museum and support our efforts to retrieve historical artifacts. In the future, we plan to organize scuba expeditions and would welcome volunteers to join us in this exciting endeavor. Your support is crucial in helping us preserve the history of Walled Lake!​​
